The Story

Born on a Humber
College stage.
Still turning heads.

It started in 1984, when trombonist Dan Douglas, a student at Humber College, was asked to assemble a classic jazz band for a school function. He called the best musician friends he knew — and the Dixie Demons were born.

Four decades later, the band is still here: a prestigious Toronto ensemble entertaining at corporate galas, private soirées, festivals, concerts and clubs with a catchy, exhilarating repertoire of traditional jazz.
